Leading up to the biggest race of the year, Hobie Call had alluded to the fact this would be the final Spartan race of his illustrious career. Many predicted another win for the legend, but it was not to be on this day.

Finding himself alone near the finish, Call hit the bell on the multi-rig and turned to the crowd, who was giving him a thundering ovation.

He brought his wife out of the crowd, and together they crossed the finish line. Awaiting him was Hunter McIntyre, who warmly embraced the man who helped introduce him to the sport. Will we see arguably the greatest obstacle racer of our time at another Spartan? Only time will tell.
